The cost may vary by format for GetDefensive.com’s Texas internet defensive driving courses.  The cost may be slightly more if you select the defensive driving DVD or the defensive driving streaming video.  For the internet defensive driving course, the cost is the minimum allowed cost under State law, and this includes the shipping of your Texas certificate of completion that will be sent via regular US mail.
I have a cutoff time in order to complete the GetDefensive.com defensive driving internet course because I do not want my recent traffic ticket to get added to my Texas driver record. How does the GetDefensive.com internet defensive driving class work?
There are two (2) types of internet defensive driving classes - one is for ticket dismissal and the other is for auto insurance premium reduction.  You may take the internet defensive driving course on any computer with online access, and you are free to start and stop as frequently as you'd prefer, and pick up from wherever you left off.  The internet defensive driving program is divided into several chapters, and at the end of each chapter you will have to complete a brief, multiple-choice quiz which will help in preparing you for the final exam. Once you successfully finish the final exam, GetDefensive.com will issue to you a completion certificate which will be sent to you via the mailing method that you pick at the time of registration.
My auto insurance premiums are more than average, and I got a traffic citation recently. When I register for GetDefensive.com’s Texas defensive driving internet program, am I eligible for any auto insurance discount?
Maybe.  Although we do advise that you call your local auto insurance agent before taking the GetDefensive.com defensive driving online course.  It is helpful to know that many auto insurance carriers offer discounts of up to 10% to policyholders who successfully complete the GetDefensive.com online defensive driving class.   Also, customers who pass our online defensive driving class for ticket dismissal get two (2) copies of his or her certificate of completion--one to give to the court and one to give to his or her auto insurance agent.
Am I allowed to sign up for the GetDefensive.com defensive driving internet class on my laptop computer while I’m traveling, and then finish it from a different computer?
Yes!  GetDefensive.com’s internet defensive driving class can be taken from any computer with online access.  You may use multiple computers if you have to, but you will have to be certain that every computer has the flash and browser features that are necessary. GetDefensive.com will run a short scan on any computer that you log into for the first time to make sure that it has the applicable software installed.  GetDefensive.com can easily work into a full daily routine!
My schedule does not permit me to complete GetDefensive.com’s Texas defensive driving internet class in one sitting. Am I allowed to start and stop the program often if I cannot finish it all at one time?
Yes, you may start and stop as necessary when you complete the GetDefensive.com’s defensive driving online class.    You are not required to take the program all at one time.  When you do have to take a break, you can then resume where you left off.  GetDefensive.com’s course is flexible, and can be worked into your hectic schedule!
I need to be certain that my traffic ticket that was issued this month is not added to my Texas driver record soon. How can I obtain GetDefensive.com’s certificate of completion?
When you successfully finish the Texas onlinedefensive driving course, GetDefensive.com will send the certificate of completion to the shipping address that you entered at registration for the course.  Please note that you must take it to the court by or before the court due date.


I need to complete GetDefensive.com’s defensive driving online program, but how can I be sure if my court approves it for online ticket dismissal?
GetDefensive.com is 100% accepted by every court in the State of Texas for online ticket dismissal.  If you qualify for ticket dismissal, your court will notify you as to when you have to complete a defensive driving program.  Also, if you successfully complete the GetDefensive.com defensive driving internet course, you may be eligible for a 10% auto insurance discount through your insurance carrier; however, we urge that you first consult with your local auto insurance agent.
I would rather that my recent traffic ticket is not added to my Texas driver record. Am I eligible to take GetDefensive.com’s Texas online defensive driving program if I have not finished an internet defensive driving class in over 1 year?
Yes, if it has been over one (1) year since you took an internet defensive driving program, then you are eligible.  Texas State Law restricts you from removing a second traffic ticket every twelve (12) months. If you are unsure as to when you last satisfactorily completed the internet defensive driving course, we strongly advise that you call the traffic court to find out if you definitely qualify to take GetDefensive.com's defensive driving online class.
I recently got another traffic ticket this year, and I have to keep my Texas driver record free from tickets. Do the quizzes count toward my overall grade in the GetDefensive.com defensive driving online class?
There is a brief quiz following each chapter in GetDefensive.com’s defensive driving online course.  The quizzes are essential and assist in preparing you for the defensive driving final exam, but they will not count against your final grade in the online defensive driving course.
If I take the GetDefensive.com Texas internet defensive driving course, is it equivalent to taking a defensive driving program in an actual classroom setting, and how do I know if my local court accepts it?
