I recently obtained a traffic citation and would like to sign up for GetDefensive.com’s Texas defensive driving online course for ticket dismissal. What are the steps to pass the online defensive driving course?
GetDefensive.com offers two (2) types of internet defensive driving classes - one is for ticket dismissal and the other is for auto insurance premium reduction.  You may enroll in GetDefensive.com’s online defensive driving class on any computer with internet access.  You may start and stop as often as you'd prefer, and then resume from wherever you left off.  The internet defensive driving course is divided into several chapters, and at the end of each chapter you will be given a brief, multiple-choice quiz which will help you in preparing for the final exam. When you pass the final exam, GetDefensive.com will give to you a certificate of completion which will be sent to you via the mailing method that you choose at registration.
Does the GetDefensive.com Texas defensive driving internet course offer any auto insurance premium reduction or insurance discount for satisfactorily finishing the online defensive driving program?
Yes.  Although we do advise that you check with your local auto insurance agent before signing up for the GetDefensive.com Texas defensive driving online program.  It is helpful to know that numerous insurance carriers give discounts of up to 10% to policyholders who satisfactorily finish the GetDefensive.com internet defensive driving course.   Also, customers who get through our online defensive driving course for ticket dismissal get two (2) copies of his or her completion certificate--one to submit to the court and one to submit to his or her auto insurance agent.
Do I have to use the same computer when I complete the GetDefensive.com defensive driving internet program?
No.  GetDefensive.com’s internet defensive driving course can be completed from any computer, as long as it has internet access.  You may work from multiple computers if you want to do so, but you will have to be certain that each computer has the flash and browser features that are required.  GetDefensive.com will run a quick scan on any computer that you log into for the initial time to make sure that it has the required software installed.  The defensive driving program can easily fit into anyone’s daily routine!
My work schedule does not allow me to take GetDefensive.com’s Texas defensive driving internet course in one sitting. Am I allowed to start and stop the program when needed?
Yes, you may start and stop as needed when you take the GetDefensive.com’s defensive driving online class.  You do not have to finish the class all at once.  When you do need to take a break, you can then resume where you left off.  GetDefensive.com’s program is flexible, and it can be arranged around your busy schedule!
When I finish GetDefensive.com’s defensive driving online final exam, where will my Texas certificate of completion be sent?
After you have passed the Texas internet defensive driving class, GetDefensive.com will send via regular mail the completion certificate to the mailingaddress that you provided at registration.  Keep in mind that you must take the completion certificate to the court by or before the court due date.



I need to complete GetDefensive.com’s Texas defensive driving internet program. Is it court approved?
Yes!  GetDefensive.com is 100% accepted by every court in the State of Texas for online ticket dismissal.  If you qualify for ticket dismissal, your court will inform you as to when you must complete a defensive driving course.  Also, if you satisfactorily complete the GetDefensive.com defensive driving online program, you may be eligible for a 10% auto insurance discount through your insurance carrier; however, we strongly recommend that you first contact your local auto insurance agent.
I completed a traditional defensive driving classroom program over 2 years ago. Am I eligible to take the GetDefensive.com defensive driving internet program now?
Yes.  State Law in Texas restricts you from removing a second traffic ticket every twelve (12) months. If you are not certain when you last finished the online defensive driving class, we strongly urge that you consult with the traffic court to find out if you currently qualify to finish GetDefensive.com's defensive driving online course.
Am I penalized if I incorrectly answer several of the quiz questions in GetDefensive.com’s defensive driving internet class?
No.  There is a short quiz after each online defensive driving class chapter.  The online defensive driving class quizzes are essential and they are meant to assist in preparing you for the final exam.  However, they will not go against your overall course score.
The last defensive driving program that I attended was in the traditional classroom setting. Does my local court accept the GetDefensive.com defensive driving internet course?
The GetDefensive.com defensive driving class is certified by the State of Texas, and can be completed instead of the traditional defensive driving program in a classroom setting.  You do not have to take time out to attend and sit through any instruction in a traditional classroom setting. We also offer Texas Drug and Alcohol Awareness Programs. The GetDefensive.com program is convenient for an active lifestyle!
