I have to take a Texas defensive driving course over the internet. Do you offer both the online and DVD format of GetDefensive.com's internet course?
The prices may vary by format for GetDefensive.com’s Texas online defensive driving classes.  The cost may be slightly higher if you select the defensive driving DVD or the defensive driving streaming video.  For the internet defensive driving course, the cost is the minimum allowed price under State law, and this includes the mailing of your Texas completion certificate that will be sent via regular US mail.
I took a traditional classroom defensive driving class over 1 year ago. Since I not familiar with internet defensive driving courses, can you tell me what I need to do after enrolling in the GetDefensive.com defensive driving internet program?
There are two (2) types of online defensive driving courses that are available - one is for ticket dismissal and the other is for auto insurance premium reduction.  You may enroll in the internet defensive driving class on any computer with internet access, and you are allowed to start and stop as often as you'd prefer, and pick up from wherever you left off.  The internet defensive driving program is divided into several chapters, and at the end of each chapter you will have to complete a short, multiple-choice quiz which will assist you in preparing for the final exam. Once you successfully finish the final exam, GetDefensive.com will issue to you a certificate of completion which will be sent to you via the mailing method that you select at the time of registration.
I really would prefer to obtain an auto insurance premium reduction. Is this possible when I take the GetDefensive.com Texas defensive driving online class?
Although we do urge that you call your local auto insurance agent before signing up for the GetDefensive.com Texas defensive driving internet program.  We can tell you that many auto insurance carriers offer reductions of up to 10% to policyholders who pass the GetDefensive.com online defensive driving program.   Also, customers who do get through our internet defensive driving course for ticket dismissal get two (2) copies of his or her certificate of completion -- one to submit to the court and one to submit to his or her auto insurance agent.
Do I need to work from the exact same computer every time that I log in to the GetDefensive.com Texas defensive driving internet course?
No, you may take the GetDefensive.com internet defensive driving class from any computer with online access.  You are allowed to use multiple computers if you need to, but you will need to make sure that every computer has the flash and browser features that are required. GetDefensive.com will run a quick scan on any computer that you log into for the first time to make sure that it has the necessary software installed.  
I attended a very long, but traditional defensive driving classroom course about two (2) years ago. Is there any condition that I have to finish GetDefensive.com’s defensive driving internet course all at one time, or may I have breaks as needed?
You may start and stop when you finish the GetDefensive.com defensive driving internet class.  You do not have to take the class all at once, and you may take breaks whenever you need to.  You can then resume where you left off.  GetDefensive.com has your full schedule in mind!
How can I receive the Texas certificate of completion after I have passed the GetDefensive.com online defensive driving class?
When you have completed the Texas internet defensive driving course, GetDefensive.com will send the completion certificate to the shipping address that you entered when you signed up to take the course.  However, keep in mind that you will have to present the certificate of completion to the court by or before the court due date.


Is the GetDefensive.com defensive driving internet program approved by my local court?
Yes!  GetDefensive.com is 100% accepted by every court in the State of Texas for online ticket dismissal.  If you qualify for ticket dismissal, your court will confirm with you as to when you have to complete a defensive driving class.  Also, if you satisfactorily take the GetDefensive.com defensive driving internet program, you may qualify for a 10% auto insurance discount through your insurance carrier; however, we strongly recommend that you first check with your local auto insurance agent.
I just obtained an additional traffic citation this year, and I’d rather that my Texas driver record remain clean. What are the eligibility requirements for finishing the GetDefensive.com defensive driving internet program?
State Law in Texas prohibits you from removing a second traffic ticket every twelve (12) months. How many quizzes are there in GetDefensive.com’s defensive driving internet course, and do they count against my final score?
There is a brief quiz after each chapter in GetDefensive.com’s defensive driving internet course.  The quizzes are important and are meant to help in getting you ready for the final exam, but they do not weigh against your final class grade.
