GetDefensive.com offers Texas internet defensive driving courses and online auto insurance reduction courses, and the cost may vary by format.   If you choose the defensive driving DVD or the defensive driving streaming video, the price may be slightly higher.   For the online defensive driving class, the price is the minimum allowed under State law, and this includes the shipping of the Texas certificate of completion that will be sent via regular US mail.

I have a traffic citation that I do not want added to my Texas driver record. After I register for the GetDefensive.com defensive driving internet course, what is the next step?
GetDefensive.com offers two (2) types of online defensive driving courses - one is for ticket dismissal and the other is for auto insurance premium reduction.  You may register for GetDefensive.com’s internet defensive driving class on any computer with internet access.  You are free to start and stop as often as you'd prefer, and then resume from wherever you left off.  The online defensive driving program is divided into several chapters, and at the end of each chapter you are required to complete a short, multiple-choice quiz which will assist you in preparing for the final exam. When you pass the final exam, GetDefensive.com will give you with a certificate of completion which will be mailed to you via the shipping method that you select at registration.
If I satisfactorily complete GetDefensive.com’s defensive driving internet class, do I qualify to get an auto insurance premium reduction?
Yes, it is probable.  Although we do recommend that you consult with your auto local insurance agent before enrolling in the GetDefensive.com defensive driving online course.  We can tell you that many auto insurance carriers offer discounts of up to 10% to policyholders who successfully complete the GetDefensive.com defensive driving course.   Also, customers who get through our internet defensive driving course for ticket dismissal get two (2) copies of his or her completion certificate--one to present to the court and one to present to his or her auto insurance agent.
My computer is currently running slow. If my computer breaks down, can I change computers in the middle of the GetDefensive.com defensive driving internet class, and resume where I left off on a different computer?
Absolutely!  You can begin the GetDefensive.com defensive driving internet class from one computer, and then finish it from another computer.  You can work from multiple computers if you need to do so, but you will have to make sure that each computer has the flash and browser features that are required. GetDefensive.com will run a quick scan on any computer that you log into for the first time to be certain that it has the applicable software installed.  The defensive driving course can easily work into anyone’s daily routine!
I attended a very long, but traditional defensive driving classroom program nearly two (2) years ago. Is there any condition that I have to finish GetDefensive.com’s defensive driving online class all at one time, or may I have breaks as needed?
You may start and stop when you complete the GetDefensive.com defensive driving internet class.  You do not have to take the program all at one time, and you may start and stop whenever you have to.  You can then resume where you left off.  GetDefensive.com has your hectic schedule in mind!
After I complete GetDefensive.com’s defensive driving online final exam, is the Texas completion certificate sent directly to my court?
When you successfully finish the Texas online defensive driving course, GetDefensive.com will send the certificate of completion to the shipping address that you provided when you registered.  However, you must present it to the court by or before the court due date.

Are the quizzes graded in GetDefensive.com’s defensive driving online class, and do they count toward my total grade?
There is a short quiz after each chapter in GetDefensive.com's defensive driving internet class.  The quizzes are important and are meant to assist you in preparing you for the defensive driving final examination.  However, they will not count against your total score in the internet defensive driving course.
I need to take the GetDefensive.com Texas defensive driving online course, but is it equivalent to taking a traditional defensive driving program in a classroom setting?
