GetDefensive.com offers Texas internet defensive driving classes, and the cost may vary by format.   If you select the defensive driving DVD or the defensive driving streaming video, the cost may be slightly higher.   For the defensive driving class, the cost is the lowest possible cost under State law, and this includes the shipping of the Texas certificate of completion via regular US mail.
I just received a traffic citation and want to take GetDefensive.com’s defensive driving online class for ticket dismissal. After I sign up, what am I required to do next?
GetDefensive.com offers two (2) types of internet defensive driving courses - one is for ticket dismissal and the other is for auto insurance premium reduction.  You may go through  GetDefensive.com’s online defensive driving course on any computer with online access.  You are allowed to start and stop as often as you'd prefer, and then pick up from wherever you left off.  The online defensive driving course is divided into several chapters, and at the end of each chapter you will be given a short, multiple-choice quiz which will assist you in preparing for the final exam. When you pass the final exam, GetDefensive.com will issue to you a completion certificate which will be sent to you via the mailing method that you select at registration.
I prefer to enroll in GetDefensive.com’s online defensive driving program for ticket dismissal. Am I eligible to receive any auto insurance premium reduction?
Yes, it is likely.  Although we do urge that you check with your local auto insurance agent before taking the GetDefensive.com defensive driving online course.  It is helpful to know that many auto insurance carriers offer reductions of up to 10% to policyholders who satisfactorily complete the GetDefensive.com defensive driving program.   Also, customers who do pass our online defensive driving class for ticket dismissal get two (2) copies of his or her certificate of completion -- one to give to the court and one to present to his or her auto insurance agent.
Am I permitted to begin the GetDefensive.com defensive driving internet course on my laptop computer while I’m traveling, and then complete the GetDefensive.com defensive driving online course from another computer?
Of course!  GetDefensive.com’s online defensive driving online course may be finished from any computer with online access.  You may work from multiple computers if you want to, but you will need to be certain that each computer is equipped with the flash and browser features that are required. GetDefensive.com will run a brief scan on any computer that you log into for the first time to be certain that it has the required software installed.
I’m a busy college student and may want to take frequent breaks if I take GetDefensive.com’s defensive driving online program. Is this likely, or do I need to finish it all at once?
You can start and stop when you complete the GetDefensive.com defensive driving internet class.  You do not need to take the class all at one time, and you may start and stop whenever you need to.  You can then resume where you left off.  GetDefensive.com has your busy schedule in mind!
I need to advise the court that I have completed the GetDefensive.com defensive driving online course. Is the Texas completion certificate sent directly to my local court?
No.  After you have successfully finished the Texas online defensive driving class, GetDefensive.com will mail the certificate of completion to the mailing address that you entered when you signed up.  Keep in mind that you must present it to the court by or before the court due date.

State Law in Texas prohibits you from removing a second traffic ticket every twelve (12) months. It is possible.  The quizzes are required and are essential, and they help in getting you ready for GetDefensive.com’s defensive driving final examination.  However, they will not weigh against your final score in the internet defensive driving course.
