GetDefensive.com offers Texas internet defensive driving classes, and the cost may vary by format.   If you select the defensive driving DVD or the defensive driving streaming video, the price may be slightly higher.   For the online defensive driving class, the cost is the lowest possible price under State law, and this includes the shipping of your certificate of completion that will be sent via regular US mail.
I have a cutoff time in order to complete the GetDefensive.com defensive driving online course because I do not want my recent traffic citation to get added to my Texas driver record. How does the GetDefensive.com online defensive driving course work?
There are two (2) types of online defensive driving classes - one is for ticket dismissal and the other is for auto insurance premium reduction.  You may register for the online defensive driving course on any computer with internet access, and you are permitted to start and stop as frequently as you'd prefer, and pick up from wherever you left off.  The internet defensive driving course is divided into several chapters, and at the end of each chapter you will have to complete a short, multiple-choice quiz which will assist in preparing you for the final exam. Once you satisfactorily complete the final exam, GetDefensive.com will present to you a certificate of completion which will be sent to you via the shipping method that you pick at the time of registration.
I want to take GetDefensive.com’s online defensive driving course for ticket dismissal. Am I eligible to obtain any auto insurance premium reduction?
Yes, it is probable.  Although we do advise that you check with your local auto insurance agent before registering for the GetDefensive.com defensive driving internet class.  We can tell you that many auto insurance carriers offer reductions of up to 10% to policyholders who satisfactorily complete the GetDefensive.com defensive driving course.   Also, customers who do get through our online defensive driving course for ticket dismissal get two (2) copies of his or her certificate of completion -- one to present to the court and one to present to his or her auto insurance agent.
Do I have to use the exact same computer every time that I log in to the GetDefensive.com Texas defensive driving internet class?
No, you may take the GetDefensive.com online defensive driving course from any computer with online access.  You are permitted to use multiple computers if you want to, but you will need to be certain that every computer has the flash and browser features that are required. GetDefensive.com will run a quick scan on any computer that you log into for the initial time to make sure that it has the applicable software installed.  
My schedule does not allow me to complete GetDefensive.com’s Texas defensive driving internet program in one sitting. Am I allowed to start and stop the program frequently if I cannot take it all at once?
Yes, you may take frequent breaks as needed when you complete the GetDefensive.com’s defensive driving internet class.    You do not have to take the course all at one time.  When you do need to take a break, you can then resume where you left off.  GetDefensive.com’s class is flexible, and can be worked into your busy schedule!
How can I receive the Texas certificate of completion after I successfully finish the GetDefensive.com online defensive driving course?
When you have successfully finished the Texas internet defensive driving class, GetDefensive.com will send the certificate of completion to the mailing address that you provided when you registered to take the class.  However, please know that you must take the certificate of completion to the court by or before the court due date.

No.  Texas State Law prohibits you from removing a second traffic citation every twelve (12) months. If you are not clear as to when you last finished the online defensive driving class, we recommend that you consult with the traffic court to verify if you currently qualify to complete GetDefensive.com's defensive driving internet class.
How many quizzes are there in GetDefensive.com’s defensive driving online course, and do they count against my final grade?
There is a brief quiz after each chapter in GetDefensive.com’s defensive driving online course.  The quizzes are important and are designed to help in preparing you for the final exam, but they do not go against your final course score.
I am a parent that is very active, and do not have time to sit through a traditional defensive driving classroom course. If I take the GetDefensive.com defensive driving program over the internet, how can I be assured that it is accepted by my local court?
