I need to complete an internet defensive driving class soon. How does GetDefensive.com’s defensive driving online class work?
GetDefensive.com offers two (2) types of internet defensive driving courses - one is for ticket dismissal and the other is for auto insurance premium reduction.  You may enroll in GetDefensive.com’s internet defensive driving class on any computer with online access.  You are allowed to start and stop as often as you'd prefer, and then resume from wherever you left off.  The internet defensive driving class is divided into several chapters, and at the end of each chapter you will be given a short, multiple-choice quiz which will help you in preparing for the final exam. When you favorably complete the final exam, GetDefensive.com will issue to you a completion certificate which will be mailed to you via the mailing method that you pick at registration.
I want to sign up for GetDefensive.com’s internet defensive driving class for ticket dismissal. Am I eligible to get any auto insurance premium reduction?
Yes, it is likely.  Although we do urge that you contact your local auto insurance agent before registering for the GetDefensive.com defensive driving online program.  It is helpful to know that many auto insurance carriers offer discounts of up to 10% to policyholders who successfully complete the GetDefensive.com defensive driving program.   Also, customers who do get through our internet defensive driving course for ticket dismissal get two (2) copies of his or her certificate of completion -- one to submit to the court and one to give to his or her auto insurance agent.
I have a full schedule with my college classes and my work. I may want to finish the GetDefensive.com Texas defensive driving online class from a different computer. Is this feasible?
Yes!  You can take the GetDefensive.com defensive driving internet class from multiple computers if you need to do so, but you will need to be sure that each computer has the flash and browser features that are required. GetDefensive.com will run a brief scan on any computer that you log into for the first time to be sure that it has the required software installed. 
I am always busy and I spend much of my time with my family. May I take breaks between chapters of the GetDefensive.com defensive driving online course?
Yes.  You may take breaks as often as needed when you complete GetDefensive.com’s defensive driving internet program.  You are not required to take the program all at one time, and you are allowed to stop whenever you have to.  You can then resume where you left off.  GetDefensive.com has your busy schedule in mind!
Is the Texas completion certificate sent directly to the court after I have passed the GetDefensive.com internet defensive driving class?
When you pass the Texas internet defensive driving class, GetDefensive.com will send the certificate of completion to the mailing address that you provided when you registered.  Please know|Keep in mind, however, that you are responsible for delivering it to the court by or before the court due date.

I am worried that I now have two (2) traffic citations this year. If I complete the GetDefensive.com Texas defensive driving internet class, how can I know for certain whether it is court approved?
GetDefensive.com is 100% recognized by every court in the State of Texas for internet ticket dismissal.  If your traffic citation qualifies for dismissal, your court will inform you as to when you need to complete a defensive driving course.  You may also qualify for a 10% auto insurance discount through your insurance carrier if you successfully finish the online defensive driving course at GetDefensive.com; however, we urge that you first consult with your local auto insurance agent.
I would rather that my recent traffic ticket is not added to my Texas driver record. Do I qualify to finish GetDefensive.com’s Texas online defensive driving class if I have not completed an online defensive driving class in over 1 year?
Yes, if it has been over one (1) year since you finished an internet defensive driving course, then you qualify.  Texas State Law restricts you from removing a second traffic citation every twelve (12) months. If you are uncertain as to when you last satisfactorily finished the online defensive driving course, we strongly advise that you contact the traffic court to confirm if you definitely are eligible to take GetDefensive.com's defensive driving online course.
What is the purpose of the internet defensive driving course quizzes, and do they weigh against my final grade in the GetDefensive.com defensive driving online course?
There is a short quiz following each chapter in GetDefensive.com’s defensive driving online course.  The quizzes are essential and assist in preparing you for the final exam, but they will not weigh against your overall course grade.
I have to take the GetDefensive.com defensive driving internet class to keep a traffic citation off of my Texas driver record, but how can I be certain if my local court accepts it?
The GetDefensive.com defensive driving program is certified by the State of Texas, and can be completed instead of the defensive driving program in a traditional classroom setting.  If you complete GetDefensive.com's online defensive driving class, you do not have to plan to attend and sit through any lengthy classroom instruction. We also offer Texas Drug and Alcohol Awareness Programs.
