I need to enroll in a Texas defensive driving class online. Do you offer both the online and DVD format of GetDefensive.com's internet course?
The cost may vary by format for GetDefensive.com’s Texas internet defensive driving classes.  The price may be slightly higher if you select the defensive driving DVD or the defensive driving streaming video.  For the internet defensive driving class, the cost is the lowest possible cost under State law, and this includes the mailing of your Texas completion certificate that will be sent via regular US mail.
I have a cutoff time in order to finish the GetDefensive.com defensive driving internet course because I do not want my recent traffic ticket to get added to my Texas driver record. How does the GetDefensive.com internet defensive driving class work?
There are two (2) types of internet defensive driving courses - one is for ticket dismissal and the other is for auto insurance premium reduction.  You may register for the internet defensive driving course on any computer with internet access, and you are allowed to start and stop as frequently as you'd like, and pick up from wherever you left off.  The internet defensive driving program is divided into several chapters, and at the end of each chapter you will need to take a short, multiple-choice quiz which will assist in preparing you for the final exam. Once you successfully finish the final exam, GetDefensive.com will give to you a certificate of completion which will be sent to you via the mailing method that you select at the time of registration.
How can I confirm if I can obtain an auto insurance premium reduction if I register for GetDefensive.com’s defensive driving online program?
Although we do advise that you consult with your local auto insurance agent before taking the GetDefensive.com internet defensive driving program.  It is helpful to know that many auto insurance carriers offer reductions of up to 10% to policyholders who favorably go through the GetDefensive.com internet defensive driving class.   Also, customers who do pass our internet defensive driving class for ticket dismissal get two (2) copies of his or her completion certificate--one to give to the court and one to give to his or her auto insurance agent.
Is it necessary for me to use the same computer when I take the GetDefensive.com defensive driving online course?
No.  GetDefensive.com’s internet defensive driving course can be completed from any computer, as long as it has online access.  You may use multiple computers if you need to do so, but you will need to make sure that each computer is equipped with the flash and browser features that are required.  GetDefensive.com will run a quick scan on any computer that you log into for the initial time to be certain that it has the required software installed.  The defensive driving course can easily work into anyone’s schedule!
I have a demanding job, and I have frequent interruptions during the day. Am I permitted to start and stop the GetDefensive.com defensive driving internet course, and then resume where I left off?
Yes, you may start and stop as needed when you get through GetDefensive.com’s defensive driving internet course.  You do not need to take the program all one time.  When you do need to take a break, you can then resume where you left off.  GetDefensive.com’s program is flexible, and can be worked into your busy schedule!
I need to be sure that my traffic ticket that was issued this month is not added to my Texas driver record soon. How can I get GetDefensive.com’s completion certificate?
When you successfully pass the Texas internetdefensive driving class, GetDefensive.com will send the certificate of completion to the shipping address that you provided when you signed up for the class.  Please remember that you will have to present it to the court by or before the court due date.


I got another traffic ticket this year. If I complete GetDefensive.com's Texas internet defensive driving class, how do I know if it is court approved?
 GetDefensive.com is 100% accepted by every court in the State of Texas for online ticket dismissal.  If your traffic ticket qualifies for dismissal, your court will inform you as to when you must fulfill the requirements of a defensive driving course.  You may also be eligible for a 10% auto insurance discount through your insurance carrier if you successfully finish the online defensive driving program at GetDefensive.com; however, we strongly urge that you first check with your local auto insurance agent.
I finished a traditional defensive driving classroom program nearly 1 year ago. Am I now eligible to complete GetDefensive.com’s defensive driving course for ticket dismissal?
No.  State Law in Texas definitely prohibits you from throwing out more than one (1) traffic ticket every twelve (12) months. If you are not sure as to when you last went through the online defensive driving program, we recommend that you check with the traffic court to find out if you currently qualify to finish GetDefensive.com's defensive driving online class.
Am I penalized if I miss several of the quiz questions in GetDefensive.com’s defensive driving internet class?
No.  There is a short quiz after each internet defensive driving class chapter.  The internet defensive driving class quizzes are essential and they are meant to assist in preparing you for the final exam.  However, they will not count against your overall class score.
The most recent defensive driving program that I attended was in the traditional classroom setting. Does my local court approve the GetDefensive.com defensive driving internet class?
The GetDefensive.com defensive driving program is certified by the State of Texas, and can be completed instead of the traditional defensive driving program in a classroom setting.  You do not have to set aside time to attend and sit through any long instruction in a traditional classroom setting. We also offer Texas Drug and Alcohol Awareness Programs.
