Is there any difference in price between GetDefensive.com’s defensive driving internet course and the defensive driving DVD when I take the online defensive driving class?
GetDefensive.com offers Texas online defensive driving courses, and the cost may vary by format. If you select the defensive driving DVD or the defensive driving streaming video, the price may be slightly higher. For the defensive driving class, the price is the lowest possible price under State law, and this includes the shipping of the Texas certificate of completion via regular US mail.
I am signing up for the GetDefensive.com defensive driving program. How does this course work?
Basically, there are two (2) types of online defensive driving classes that are available. One is for ticket dismissal and the other for auto insurance premium reduction. You can register for the online defensive driving course on any computer with internet access, and you may start and stop as often as you'd like, and resume from wherever you left off. The online defensive driving class is divided into several chapters, and at the end of each chapter you will be given a short, multiple-choice quiz which will help prepare you for the final exam. Once you favorably complete the final exam, GetDefensive.com will issue to you a completion certificate which will be mailed to you via the mailing method that you pick at the time of registration.
Is it likely for me to receive an auto insurance premium reduction when I go through the GetDefensive.com Texas defensive driving online program?
Although we do advise that you check with your local auto insurance agent before taking the GetDefensive.com Texas defensive driving online class. It is important to note that many auto insurance carriers offer reductions of up to 10% to policyholders who successfully complete the GetDefensive.com internet defensive driving program. Also, customers who do pass our internet defensive driving class for ticket dismissal get two (2) copies of his or her completion certificate -- one to give to the court and one to submit to his or her auto insurance agent.

When you pass the Texas internet defensive driving course, GetDefensive.com will send the completion certificate to the mailing address that you provided when you registered. However, you will have to deliver it to the court by or before the court due date.
Is GetDefensive.com’s defensive driving online program accepted by my local court?
GetDefensive.com is 100% approved by every court in the State of Texas for internet traffic citation dismissal. If you qualify for ticket dismissal, your court will notify you as to when you have to complete a defensive driving class. Also, if you successfully finish the GetDefensive.com defensive driving online program, you may qualify for a 10% auto insurance discount through your insurance carrier; however, we strongly advise that you first call your local auto insurance agent.
I just got an additional traffic citation this year, and I’d rather that my Texas driver record remain clear. What are the eligibility requirements for going through the GetDefensive.com defensive driving internet program?

No. There is a short quiz following each internet defensive driving course chapter. The internet defensive driving class quizzes are essential and they are meant to assist in preparing you for the final exam. However, they will not count against your overall class grade.
