GetDefensive.com offers Texas online defensive driving courses, and the price may vary by format.   If you choose the defensive driving DVD or the defensive driving streaming video, the price may be slightly more.   For the internet defensive driving class, the price is the minimum allowed price under State law, and this includes the shipping of the Texas completion certificate that will be sent via regular US mail.
I'd prefer that my Texas driver record stay clear, and I need to take an internet defensive driving class soon. How does GetDefensive.com’s defensive driving online course work?
GetDefensive.com offers two (2) types of online defensive driving classes - one is for ticket dismissal and the other is for auto insurance premium reduction.  You may finish GetDefensive.com’s internet defensive driving class on any computer with internet access.  You can start and stop as often as you'd like, and then resume from wherever you left off.  The online defensive driving class is divided into several chapters, and at the end of each chapter you will be given a short, multiple-choice quiz which will help you in preparing for the final exam. When you favorably complete the final exam, GetDefensive.com will give to you a certificate of completion which will be mailed to you via the mailing method that you pick at registration.
My auto insurance premiums are higher than average, and I got a traffic citation recently. When I register for GetDefensive.com’s Texas defensive driving internet course, do I qualify for any auto insurance discount?
Maybe.  Although we do advise that you contact your local auto insurance agent prior to starting the GetDefensive.com defensive driving online course.  It is helpful to know that many auto insurance carriers offer reductions of up to 10% to policyholders who successfully complete the GetDefensive.com internet defensive driving program.   Also, customers who pass our internet defensive driving class for ticket dismissal get two (2) copies of his or her certificate of completion--one to present to the court and one to give to his or her auto insurance agent.
Am I permitted to start the GetDefensive.com defensive driving internet course on my laptop computer while I’m traveling, and then finish it from another computer?
Yes!  GetDefensive.com’s online defensive driving class can be finished from any computer with internet access.  You may use multiple computers if you have to, but you will need to be certain that every computer has the flash and browser features that are required. GetDefensive.com will run a short scan on any computer that you log into for the initial time to be certain that it has the needed software installed.  GetDefensive.com can easily work into a busy schedule!
I cannot sit for extended periods of time, and I would prefer to take GetDefensive.com’s defensive driving internet program at intervals. Is this permitted, or is it necessary to complete it all at once?
You may start and stop as often as needed when you take the GetDefensive.com defensive driving internet class.  You do not have to get through the course all at once.  When you do have to take a break, you can then resume where you left off.  GetDefensive.com’s course is flexible, and can be worked into your full schedule!
I am worried that my traffic citation may get added to my Texas driver record. Is the GetDefensive.com defensive driving online course certificate of completion sent directly to me?
When you successfully complete the Texas internet defensive driving course, GetDefensive.com will send via regular mail the certificate of completion to the mailing address that you provided when you signed up for the course.  However, please note that you will have to present it to the court by or before the court due date.

Texas State Law prevents you from dismissing a second traffic citation every twelve (12) months. There is a brief quiz after each chapter in GetDefensive.com’s defensive driving online course.  The quizzes are essential and are designed to help in preparing you for the defensive driving final examination, but they do not count against your overall score in the online defensive driving class.
