The cost may vary by format for GetDefensive.com’s Texas internet defensive driving classes.  The price may be slightly higher if you choose the defensive driving DVD or the defensive driving streaming video.  For the online defensive driving course, the cost is the lowest possible price under State law, and this includes the shipping of your Texas certificate of completion that will be mailed.
I have a traffic ticket that I have to dismiss soon, but I’m not certain how the class works. What do I have to do after registration for GetDefensive.com’s defensive driving internet course?
GetDefensive.com offers two (2) types of online defensive driving classes available - one is for ticket dismissal and the other is for insurance premium reduction.  You may complete GetDefensive.com’s online defensive driving program on any computer with online access.  You are allowed to start and stop as often as you'd prefer, and then pick up from wherever you left off.  The internet defensive driving class is divided into several chapters, and at the end of each chapter you will be given a short, multiple-choice quiz which will help in preparing you for the final exam. When you pass the final exam, GetDefensive.com will issue you a certificate of completion which will be mailed to you via the mailing method that you choose at registration.
I prefer to sign up for GetDefensive.com’s online defensive driving program for ticket dismissal. Am I eligible to receive any auto insurance premium reduction?
Yes, it is probable.  Although we do urge that you contact your local auto insurance agent before registering for the GetDefensive.com defensive driving internet course.  It is helpful to know that many auto insurance carriers offer discounts of up to 10% to policyholders who successfully complete the GetDefensive.com defensive driving course.   Also, customers who do get through our online defensive driving class for ticket dismissal get two (2) copies of his or her certificate of completion -- one to present to the court and one to present to his or her auto insurance agent.
My computer is currently running slow. If my computer breaks down, can I change computers in the middle of the GetDefensive.com defensive driving internet course, and resume where I left off on another computer?
Yes!  You can sign up for the GetDefensive.com defensive driving online class from one computer, and then complete it from another computer.  You can work from multiple computers if you need to do so, but you will have to make sure that each computer is equipped with the flash and browser features that are required. GetDefensive.com will run a quick scan on any computer that you log into for the first time to make sure that it has the applicable software installed.  The defensive driving course can easily fit into anyone’s schedule!
My work schedule does not permit me to complete GetDefensive.com’s Texas defensive driving internet course in one sitting. Am I allowed to take a break from the course when needed?
Yes, you may start and stop as needed when you finish the GetDefensive.com’s defensive driving online course.  You do not have to finish the class all at one time.  When you do want to take a break, you can then resume where you left off.  GetDefensive.com’s course is flexible, and it can be arranged around your hectic schedule!
How is my court notified when I have passed the GetDefensive.com internet defensive driving class?
After you successfully finish GetDefensive.com’s defensive driving online class, the completion certificate will be mailed to the shippingaddress that you provided when you signed up.  However, keep in mind that you are responsible for delivering it to the court by or before the court due date.


I obtained a second traffic citation this year. If I complete GetDefensive.com's Texas internet defensive driving course, how can I be sure if it is court approved?
 GetDefensive.com is 100% accepted by every court in the State of Texas for internet ticket dismissal.  If your traffic ticket qualifies for dismissal, your court will notify you as to when you must fulfill the requirements of a defensive driving program.  You may also qualify for a 10% auto insurance discount through your insurance carrier if you successfully complete the internet defensive driving program at GetDefensive.com; however, we strongly advise that you first consult with your local auto insurance agent.
I just got a traffic citation that I do not want added to my Texas driver record. Am I eligible to take the GetDefensive.com Texas defensive driving internet class for ticket dismissal?
Texas State Law prohibits you from removing a second traffic citation every twelve (12) months. If you are uncertain as to when you most recently took the internet defensive driving course

How many quizzes are there in GetDefensive.com’s defensive driving internet course, and do they count against my final score?
There is a short quiz after each chapter in GetDefensive.com’s defensive driving online class.  The quizzes are important and are designed to help in preparing you for the defensive driving final examination, but they do not go against your overall grade in the internet defensive driving class.
If I finish the GetDefensive.com Texas internet defensive driving course, is it equivalent to taking a defensive driving program in an actual classroom setting, and how can I be sure if my local court accepts it?
GetDefensive.com’s online defensive driving course is certified by the State of Texas as an equivalent to the traditional defensive driving classroom program.  Also, when you take GetDefensive.com's online defensive driving class, you do not have to take time out to attend and sit through any long classroom instruction.
