The cost may vary by format for GetDefensive.com’s Texas internet defensive driving classes.  The price may be slightly more if you choose the defensive driving DVD or the defensive driving streaming video.  For the online defensive driving class, the price is the lowest possible cost under State law, and this includes the mailing of the Texas completion certificate that will be mailed.
I have a traffic ticket that I want to dismiss soon, but I’m not sure how the class works. What do I have to do after registration for GetDefensive.com’s defensive driving online course?
GetDefensive.com offers two (2) types of internet defensive driving classes available - one is for ticket dismissal and the other is for insurance premium reduction.  You may sign up for GetDefensive.com’s internet defensive driving program on any computer with online access.  You are allowed to start and stop as often as you'd prefer, and then pick up from wherever you left off.  The internet defensive driving course is divided into several chapters, and at the end of each chapter you will be given a short, multiple-choice quiz which will help in preparing you for the final exam. When you satisfactorily complete the final exam, GetDefensive.com will issue you a certificate of completion which will be mailed to you via the shipping method that you choose at registration.
Is it likely that I can get some auto insurance premium reduction when I take the GetDefensive.com defensive driving program over the internet?
Yes, it is likely.  Although we do urge that you check with your local auto insurance agent before taking the GetDefensive.com defensive driving internet course.  We can tell you that many auto insurance carriers offer reductions of up to 10% to policyholders who successfully complete the GetDefensive.com defensive driving course.   Also, customers who favorably complete our online defensive driving program for ticket dismissal get two (2) copies of his or her completion certificate--one to submit to the court and one to submit to his or her auto insurance agent.
I have a very tight schedule, and may need to take GetDefensive.com’s Texas defensive driving online course from two separate computers. Am I permitted to do so?
Of course!  You can complete the GetDefensive.com defensive driving online course from multiple computers if you want to, but you will have to make sure that each computer is equipped with the flash and browser features that are required. GetDefensive.com will run a quick scan on any computer that you log into for the initial time to make sure that it has the applicable software installed.
I’d rather not go through a traditional defensive driving classroom course. Is it necessary for me to take GetDefensive.com’s defensive driving internet class all in one sitting, or can I take breaks as necessary?
You are permitted to start and stop when you take the GetDefensive.com defensive driving online program.  You do not have to finish the program all in one sitting, and you may stop whenever you want to.  You can then resume where you left off.  GetDefensive.com has your busy schedule in mind!
I am worried that my traffic citation may get added to my Texas driver record. Is the GetDefensive.com defensive driving online class certificate of completion sent directly to me?
When you successfully complete the Texas online defensive driving class, GetDefensive.com will send via regular mail the completion certificate to the shipping address that you provided when you signed up for the course.  However, please note that you are responsible for delivering it to the court by or before the court due date.

I am worried that I now have a couple of traffic tickets this year. If I take the GetDefensive.com Texas defensive driving online class, how can I find out for certain whether it is court approved?
GetDefensive.com is 100% approved by every court in the State of Texas for online ticket dismissal.  If your traffic ticket qualifies for dismissal, your court will inform you as to when you have to complete a defensive driving course.  You may also be eligible for a 10% auto insurance discount through your insurance carrier if you successfully complete the online defensive driving class at GetDefensive.com; however, we recommend that you first contact your local auto insurance agent.
I recently obtained a traffic violation. Do I qualify to go through GetDefensive.com’s Texas internet defensive driving course if I have not completed an online defensive driving course in over 1 year?
Yes, if it has been over one (1) year since you finished an internet defensive driving class, then you are eligible.  Texas State Law restricts you from dismissing more than one (1) traffic citation every twelve (12) months. If you are uncertain as to when you last satisfactorily took the online defensive driving class, we recommend that you call the traffic court to find out if you are eligible to take GetDefensive.com's  defensive driving online class.
I have to sign up for a defensive driving online program to assist me in keeping my Texas driver record free from tickets. If I do not satisfactorily get through the quizzes in the GetDefensive.com defensive driving online class, am I still eligible to successfully complete the Texas defensive driving internet program?
It is feasible.  The quizzes are required and are essential, and they help in getting you ready for GetDefensive.com’s defensive driving final examination.  However, they will not count against your total grade in the internet defensive driving course.
The last defensive driving program that I attended was in the traditional classroom setting. Does my local court accept the GetDefensive.com defensive driving internet course?
The GetDefensive.com defensive driving class is certified by the State of Texas, and can be completed instead of the traditional defensive driving program in a classroom setting.  You do not have to plan to attend and sit through any lengthy instruction in a traditional classroom setting. We also offer Texas Drug and Alcohol Awareness Programs.
