Prices may vary by format  for GetDefensive.com’s online defensive driving courses.  The price may be slightly more if you choose the defensive driving DVD or the defensive driving streaming video.  For the online defensive driving class, the price is the minimum allowed cost under State law, and this includes the mailing of your Texas certificate of completion that will be mailed.
I took a traditional classroom defensive driving course over 1 year ago. Since I not up-to-date with internet defensive driving programs, can you tell me what I need to do after signing up for the GetDefensive.com defensive driving internet course?
There are two (2) types of online defensive driving classes that are available - one is for ticket dismissal and the other is for auto insurance premium reduction.  You may enroll in the internet defensive driving class on any computer with online access, and you are permitted to start and stop as often as you'd like, and resume from wherever you left off.  The online defensive driving course is divided into several chapters, and at the end of each chapter you will have to complete a brief, multiple-choice quiz which will help you in preparing for the final exam. Once you favorably complete the final exam, GetDefensive.com will give to you a certificate of completion which will be mailed to you via the mailing method that you choose at the time of registration.
My auto insurance premiums are higher than average due to a previous traffic ticket. Am I eligible for any auto insurance reduction when I enroll in GetDefensive.com’s defensive driving internet class?
Although we do advise that you check with your local auto insurance agent prior to taking the GetDefensive.com defensive driving internet course.  We can tell you that many auto insurance carriers offer reductions of up to 10% to policyholders who successfully get through the GetDefensive.com internet defensive driving class.   Also, customers who successfully complete our online defensive driving course for ticket dismissal get two (2) copies of his or her completion certificate -- one to give to the court and one to submit to his or her auto insurance agent.
If my computer stops working properly, am I allowed to change computers in the middle of the GetDefensive.com defensive driving internet course, and then resume where I left off?
Yes!  You can begin the GetDefensive.com defensive driving online course from one computer, and then complete it from another computer.  You can work from multiple computers if you want to, but you will need to make sure that each computer has the flash and browser features that are required. GetDefensive.com will run a brief scan on any computer that you log into for the initial time to be sure that it has the applicable software installed.  GetDefensive.com can easily work into anyone’s schedule!
I really sit a lot with my job, and may find it hard to sit through a long defensive driving class when I return home in the evening. Do I need to take the GetDefensive.com Texas defensive driving online class all at one time, or can I take frequent breaks?
You may take frequent breaks as often as needed when you take the GetDefensive.com defensive driving online class.  You are not required to finish the course all at one time.  When you do want to take a break, you can then resume where you left off.  GetDefensive.com’s course is flexible, and can be worked into your busy schedule!
How can I receive the Texas certificate of completion after I am done with the GetDefensive.com online defensive driving course?
When you have completed the Texas online defensive driving class, GetDefensive.com will send the completion certificate to the mailing address that you provided when you registered to take the course.  However, please know that you are responsible for delivering the completion certificate to the court by or before the court due date.

Yes!  GetDefensive.com is 100% approved by every court in the State of Texas for online ticket dismissal.  If your traffic ticket is eligible for dismissal, your court will inform you as to when you need to finish a defensive driving course.  You may also be eligible for a 10% auto insurance discount through your insurance carrier if you complete the online defensive driving class at GetDefensive.com; however, we recommend that you first check with your local auto insurance agent.

State Law restricts you from removing more than one (1) traffic citation every twelve (12) months. How many quizzes are there in GetDefensive.com’s defensive driving internet course, and do they weigh against my final grade?
There is a short quiz after each chapter in GetDefensive.com’s defensive driving online class.  The quizzes are important and are meant to assist in getting you ready for the defensive driving final examination, but they do not weigh against your final score in the online defensive driving course.
