GetDefensive.com offers Texas online defensive driving courses and internet auto insurance reduction courses, and the price may vary by format.   If you choose the defensive driving DVD or the defensive driving streaming video, the cost may be slightly higher.   For the online defensive driving course, the cost is the minimum allowed under State law, and this includes the mailing of the Texas certificate of completion that will be mailed.

I am signing up for the GetDefensive.com defensive driving program. How does this course work?
Basically, there are two (2) types of online defensive driving courses that are available.  One is for ticket dismissal and the other for auto insurance premium reduction.  You are allowed to enroll in the internet defensive driving class on any computer with internet access, and you may start and stop as often as needed, and resume from wherever you left off.  The internet defensive driving class is divided into several chapters, and at the end of each chapter you will have to complete a short, multiple-choice quiz which will help get you ready for the final exam. Once you pass the final exam, GetDefensive.com will issue to you a certificate of completion which will be sent to you via the mailing method that you pick at the time of registration.
Is there any assurance that I will receive an auto insurance premium reduction when I successfully take GetDefensive.com’s Texas defensive driving online class?
It is probable, but not guaranteed.  Although we do urge that you consult with your local auto insurance agent before registering for the GetDefensive.com Texas defensive driving online course.  It is helpful to know that numerous auto insurance carriers offer reductions| of up to 10% to policyholders who successfully take the GetDefensive.com defensive driving course.   Also, customers who pass our internet defensive driving course for ticket dismissal get two (2) copies of his or her completion certificate--one to present to the court and one to submit to his or her auto insurance agent.
Do I have to log in to the exact same computer when I complete the remainder of the GetDefensive.com Texas defensive driving internet program?
No.  As long as the computer has internet access, you can finish GetDefensive.com’s defensive driving online program from any computer.  You are permitted to use multiple computers if you want to, but you will have to be certain that each computer is equipped with the flash and browser features that are needed. GetDefensive.com will run a quick scan on any computer that you log into for the first time to be certain that it has the required software installed.  The defensive driving online class can fit into a hectic daily routine! 
I have a job that requires me to work variable hours every day of the week. Do I need to take the GetDefensive.com defensive driving online course all at one time?
No.  You may take frequent breaks when you take GetDefensive.com’s defensive driving online class.  You are not required to take the program all at once.  You are permitted to stop whenever you need to, and then resume where you left off.  GetDefensive.com has your erratic schedule in mind!
When I successfully finish GetDefensive.com’s internet defensive driving course, how can I obtain my Texas certificate of completion?
When you pass the Texas internet defensive driving class, GetDefensive.com will send via regular mail the completion certificate to the shipping address that you entered when you signed up to take the course.  Please remember, however, that you are responsible for delivering it to the court by or before the court due date.

I need to have a clean Texas driver record, but I just got a traffic citation this month. If I sign up for the GetDefensive.com Texas defensive driving internet program, how can I know for sure whether I am eligible for internet ticket dismissal by my local court?
GetDefensive.com is 100% approved by every court in the State of Texas for internet ticket dismissal.  If you qualify for ticket dismissal, your court will advise you as to when you need to take a defensive driving program.  Also, if you successfully complete the GetDefensive.com defensive driving internet class, you may qualify for a 10% auto insurance discount through your insurance carrier; however, we strongly suggest that you first contact your local auto insurance agent.
I attended a traditional defensive driving classroom program almost 2 years ago. Do I qualify to finish GetDefensive.com’s defensive driving program for ticket dismissal?
Yes.  State Law in Texas prohibits you from dismissing more than one (1) traffic citation every twelve (12) months. If you are not sure as to when you last completed the internet defensive driving course, we strongly urge that you consult with the traffic court to verify if you currently are eligible to take GetDefensive.com's  defensive driving online class.
How many quizzes are included in the GetDefensive.com’s defensive driving internet program?
There is a brief quiz after each online defensive driving course chapter.  Each quiz is selected in order to help in getting you ready for the final exam.  The quizzes do not count against your overall grade.
