The prices may vary by format for GetDefensive.com’s Texas internet defensive driving classes.  The cost may be slightly higher if you choose the defensive driving DVD or the defensive driving streaming video.  For the internet defensive driving course, the cost is the lowest possible cost under State law, and this includes the shipping of your Texas certificate of completion that will be mailed.
I need to take an internet defensive driving course soon. How does GetDefensive.com’s defensive driving online program work?
GetDefensive.com offers two (2) types of internet defensive driving courses - one is for ticket dismissal and the other is for auto insurance premium reduction.  You may sign up for GetDefensive.com’s online defensive driving course on any computer with internet access.  You are allowed to start and stop as often as you'd prefer, and then resume from wherever you left off.  The online defensive driving course is divided into several chapters, and at the end of each chapter you will need to complete a short, multiple-choice quiz which will help you in preparing for the final exam. When you satisfactorily finish the final exam, GetDefensive.com will present to you a certificate of completion which will be sent to you via the shipping method that you select at registration.
How can I verify if I can get an auto insurance premium reduction if I register for GetDefensive.com’s defensive driving online program?
Although we do urge that you consult with your local auto insurance agent before taking the GetDefensive.com internet defensive driving class.  We can tell you that many auto insurance carriers offer discounts of up to 10% to policyholders who satisfactorily complete the GetDefensive.com internet defensive driving class.   Also, customers who do pass our internet defensive driving course for ticket dismissal get two (2) copies of his or her completion certificate--one to submit to the court and one to submit to his or her auto insurance agent.
Do I have to use the same computer when I complete the GetDefensive.com defensive driving internet course?
No.  GetDefensive.com’s internet defensive driving class can be completed from any computer, as long as it has online access.  You may use multiple computers if you have to do so, but you will need to be certain that each computer has the flash and browser features that are required.  GetDefensive.com will run a quick scan on any computer that you log into for the first time to make sure that it has the applicable software installed.  The defensive driving course can easily work into anyone’s schedule!
My work schedule does not permit me to complete GetDefensive.com’s Texas defensive driving internet program in one sitting. Am I permitted to take a break from the program when needed?
Yes, you may take a break as needed when you finish the GetDefensive.com’s defensive driving internet course.  You do not need to complete the program all at once.  When you do want to take a break, you can then resume where you left off.  GetDefensive.com’s program is flexible, and it can be arranged around your hectic schedule!
How is my court notified when I successfully finish the GetDefensive.com online defensive driving class?
After you successfully finish GetDefensive.com’s defensive driving internet class, the certificate of completion will be sent via regular mail to the shippingaddress that you entered at registration.  However, keep in mind that you are responsible for delivering it to the court by or before the court due date.

Yes!  GetDefensive.com is 100% approved by every court in the State of Texas for internet ticket dismissal.  If your traffic citation qualifies for dismissal, your court will explain to you as to when you have to take a defensive driving class.  You may also be eligible for a 10% auto insurance discount through your insurance carrier if you finish the online defensive driving course at GetDefensive.com; however, we recommend that you first consult with your local auto insurance agent.
I recently picked up a traffic violation. Am I eligible to go through GetDefensive.com’s Texas online defensive driving class if I have not taken an internet defensive driving program in over 1 year?
Yes, if it has been over one (1) year since you completed an internet defensive driving program, then you qualify.  Texas State Law prevents you from dismissing a second traffic ticket every twelve (12) months. If you are unsure as to when you last satisfactorily took the online defensive driving class, we recommend that you contact the traffic court to find out if you are eligible to finish GetDefensive.com's  defensive driving online program.
Are the quizzes graded in GetDefensive.com’s defensive driving online course, and are they included in my overall grade?
There is a short quiz after each chapter in GetDefensive.com's defensive driving internet class.  The quizzes are essential and are meant to assist you in preparing you for the defensive driving final examination.  However, they will not count against your overall score in the online defensive driving program.
