The prices may vary by format for GetDefensive.com’s Texas internet defensive driving courses.  The cost may be slightly higher if you choose the defensive driving DVD or the defensive driving streaming video.  For the internet defensive driving course, the price is the minimum allowed price under State law, and this includes the shipping of the Texas certificate of completion that will be sent via regular US mail.
I'd prefer that my Texas driver record stay clear, and I have to register for an online defensive driving course soon. How does GetDefensive.com’s defensive driving internet class work?
GetDefensive.com offers two (2) types of online defensive driving classes - one is for ticket dismissal and the other is for auto insurance premium reduction.  You may finish GetDefensive.com’s internet defensive driving class on any computer with internet access.  You may start and stop as often as necessary, and then resume from wherever you left off.  The online defensive driving class is divided into several chapters, and at the end of each chapter you will be given a short, multiple-choice quiz which will help you in preparing for the final exam. When you pass the final exam, GetDefensive.com will issue to you a completion certificate which will be mailed to you via the mailing method that you choose at registration.
My auto insurance premiums are higher than average due to a prior traffic ticket. Do I qualify for any auto insurance discount when I register for GetDefensive.com’s defensive driving internet course?
Although we do urge that you contact your local auto insurance agent prior to taking the GetDefensive.com defensive driving online class.  We can tell you that many auto insurance carriers offer discounts of up to 10% to policyholders who successfully finish the GetDefensive.com online defensive driving course.   Also, customers who successfully complete our online defensive driving class for ticket dismissal get two (2) copies of his or her certificate of completion -- one to give to the court and one to submit to his or her auto insurance agent.
Am I allowed to change computers after I start the GetDefensive.com defensive driving internet course if my computer stops functioning properly?
Definitely.  You may finish the GetDefensive.com defensive driving online course from multiple computers if you want to, but you will have to make sure that each computer has the flash and browser features that are needed. GetDefensive.com will run a quick scan on any computer that you log into for the initial time to be certain that it has the applicable software installed.  The defensive driving online program can easily work into a busy daily routine!
I really sit much of the time with my job, and may find it difficult to sit through a long defensive driving class when I get home in the evening. Do I have to complete the GetDefensive.com Texas defensive driving internet course all at one time, or may I take frequent breaks?
You may take frequent breaks as often as necessary when you finish the GetDefensive.com defensive driving internet class.  You do not need to take the class all at one time.  When you do have to take a break, you can then resume where you left off.  GetDefensive.com’s program is flexible, and can be worked into your busy schedule!
How can I receive my Texas certificate of completion after I have passed the GetDefensive.com online defensive driving class?
After you successfully complete the Texas online defensive driving class, GetDefensive.com will send via regular mail the completion certificate to the mailing address that you provided when you signed up to take the class.  Keep in mind that you are responsible for delivering it to the court by or before the court due date.

GetDefensive.com is 100% accepted by every court in the State of Texas for online ticket dismissal.  If you qualify for ticket dismissal, your court will inform you as to when you must finish a defensive driving course.  Also, if you successfully finish the GetDefensive.com defensive driving online program, you may be eligible for a 10% auto insurance discount through your insurance carrier; however, we strongly advise that you first check with your local auto insurance agent.
I obtained a traffic citation recently; however, I already finished a defensive driving internet course about 12 months ago. Do I qualify to take the GetDefensive.com Texas defensive driving internet course?
State Law restricts you from throwing out more than one (1) traffic citation every twelve (12) months. If you are unclear as to when you last successfully finished an internet defensive driving course, we strongly urge that you consult with the traffic court to confirm if you currently are eligible to finish GetDefensive.com's defensive driving internet class.
If I do not do well on the quizzes in the GetDefensive.com Texas defensive driving online class, does this go against my overall score?
No.  There is a short quiz after each chapter in GetDefensive.com's defensive driving internet course chapter.  The quizzes are important and are designed to assist you in preparing for the defensive driving final exam.  They do not count against your overall score in the online defensive driving course.
