Prices may vary by format  for GetDefensive.com’s internet defensive driving courses.  The cost may be slightly more if you choose the defensive driving DVD or the defensive driving streaming video.  For the internet defensive driving class, the price is the lowest possible price under State law, and this includes the shipping of your Texas certificate of completion that will be mailed.
I have a traffic ticket that I have to dismiss soon, but I’m not clear how the class works. What do I have to do after registration for GetDefensive.com’s defensive driving online course?
GetDefensive.com offers two (2) types of internet defensive driving classes available - one is for ticket dismissal and the other is for insurance premium reduction.  You may take GetDefensive.com’s online defensive driving program on any computer with internet access.  You are permitted to start and stop as often as you'd like, and then pick up from wherever you left off.  The online defensive driving course is divided into several chapters, and at the end of each chapter you will be given a short, multiple-choice quiz which will help in preparing you for the final exam. When you successfully finish the final exam, GetDefensive.com will issue you a certificate of completion which will be sent to you via the mailing method that you choose at registration.
Is it possible that I can obtain some auto insurance premium reduction when I take the GetDefensive.com defensive driving class over the internet?
Yes, it is likely.  Although we do urge that you consult with your local auto insurance agent before taking the GetDefensive.com defensive driving online course.  We can tell you that many auto insurance carriers offer discounts of up to 10% to policyholders who successfully complete the GetDefensive.com defensive driving program.   Also, customers who favorably complete our online defensive driving class for ticket dismissal get two (2) copies of his or her completion certificate--one to submit to the court and one to give to his or her auto insurance agent.
My computer is currently running slow. If my computer breaks down, can I change computers in the middle of the GetDefensive.com defensive driving online class, and resume where I left off on a different computer?
Absolutely!  You can sign up for the GetDefensive.com defensive driving internet class from one computer, and then finish it from a different computer.  You can work from multiple computers if you have to do so, but you will have to make sure that each computer is equipped with the flash and browser features that are required. GetDefensive.com will run a quick scan on any computer that you log into for the first time to be certain that it has the required software installed.  The defensive driving class can easily fit into anyone’s schedule!
I have a lot of responsibility at home, and I have many interruptions during the day. Am I permitted to start and stop the GetDefensive.com Texas defensive driving online class, and then resume where I left off?
Yes, you may start and stop as needed when you take the GetDefensive.com’s defensive driving internet course.  You do not have to finish the course all at one time.  When you do need to take a break, you can then resume where you left off.  GetDefensive.com’s program is flexible, and can be arranged around your busy schedule!

If I need to take GetDefensive.com’s defensive driving online program, how can I find out if my traffic ticket is eligible for dismissal by my local court?
GetDefensive.com is 100% accepted by every court in the State of Texas for online ticket dismissal.  If your traffic ticket is eligible for dismissal, your court will advise you as to when you need to complete a defensive driving course.  You may also qualify for a 10% auto insurance discount through your insurance carrier if you satisfactorily complete the internet defensive driving class at GetDefensive.com; however, we suggest that you first check with your local auto insurance agent.
I would rather that my recent traffic citation is not made a part of my Texas driver record. Am I eligible to complete GetDefensive.com’s Texas online defensive driving program if I have not finished an internet defensive driving course in over 1 year?
Yes, if it has been over one (1) year since you completed an internet defensive driving class, then you qualify.  Texas State Law prevents you from removing a second traffic ticket every twelve (12) months. If you are unclear as to when you last satisfactorily completed the internet defensive driving course, we strongly recommend that you contact the traffic court to find out if you definitely are eligible to take GetDefensive.com's defensive driving online program.
How can I still satisfactorily complete the GetDefensive.com Texas defensive driving online course if I miss several of the quiz questions?
It is still feasible.  The quizzes are important and assist in preparing you for GetDefensive.com’s defensive driving online class final exam, but they will not weigh against your overall course score.
The last defensive driving program that I attended was in the traditional classroom setting. Does my local court accept the GetDefensive.com defensive driving internet course?
The GetDefensive.com defensive driving class is certified by the State of Texas, and can be taken instead of the traditional defensive driving course in a classroom setting.  You do not have to take time out to attend and sit through any lengthy instruction in a traditional classroom setting. We also offer Texas Drug and Alcohol Awareness Programs.
