I need to take a Texas defensive driving online course. What is the price of this program?
The cost may vary by format for GetDefensive.com’s Texas internet defensive driving courses and internet auto insurance reduction classes.  The price may be slightly more if you choose the defensive driving DVD or the defensive driving streaming video.  For the online defensive driving course, the cost is the lowest possible cost under State law, and this includes the shipping of the Texas completion certificate that will be mailed.
How does this course work after I enroll in GetDefensive.com’s defensive driving online course?
GetDefensive.com offers two (2) types of internet defensive driving classes - one is for ticket dismissal and the other is for auto insurance premium reduction.  You may take GetDefensive.com’s online defensive driving course on any computer with online access.  You are free to start and stop as frequently as you'd prefer, and then resume from wherever you left off.  The internet defensive driving class is divided into several chapters, and at the end of each chapter you will have to take a short, multiple-choice quiz which will assist you in preparing for the final exam. When you pass the final exam, GetDefensive.com will give to you a completion certificate which will be mailed to you via the mailing method that you select at registration.
Is it possible for me to obtain an auto insurance premium reduction when I pass the GetDefensive.com Texas defensive driving internet program?
Although we do urge that you call your local auto insurance agent before taking the GetDefensive.com Texas defensive driving internet program.  We can tell you that many auto insurance carriers offer reductions of up to 10% to policyholders who successfully complete the GetDefensive.com internet defensive driving course.   Also, customers who do get through our online defensive driving course for ticket dismissal get two (2) copies of his or her certificate of completion -- one to give to the court and one to submit to his or her auto insurance agent.
Is it necessary for me to use the same computer when I complete the GetDefensive.com defensive driving online course?
No.  GetDefensive.com’s internet defensive driving class can be completed from any computer, as long as it has internet access.  You may work from multiple computers if you need to do so, but you will have to make sure that each computer has the flash and browser features that are required.  GetDefensive.com will run a brief scan on any computer that you log into for the initial time to make sure that it has the required software installed.  The defensive driving course can easily fit into anyone’s schedule!
I have a really full schedule and I may have to take frequent breaks when I take GetDefensive.com’s defensive driving program online. Is this possible, or do I have to take it all at once?
You may take several breaks when you take the GetDefensive.com defensive driving onlinecourse course.  You do not have to take the course all at once, and you may take a break whenever you want to.  You can then resume where you left off.  GetDefensive.com has your busy schedule in mind!
When I have passed GetDefensive.com’s defensive driving online final exam, where will my Texas certificate of completion be sent?
After you successfully complete the Texas internet defensive driving course, GetDefensive.com will send via regular mail the certificate of completion to the shippingaddress that you provided at registration.  Keep in mind that you will have to present the certificate of completion to the court by or before the court due date.



I want to prevent a traffic citation from being added to my Texas driver record. Is GetDefensive.com’s Texas defensive driving online program approved by my local court?
Yes!  GetDefensive.com is 100% accepted by every court in the State of Texas for internet ticket dismissal.  If you qualify for ticket dismissal, your court will notify you as to when you must take a defensive driving class.  Also, if you successfully finish the GetDefensive.com defensive driving internet class, you may qualify for a 10% auto insurance discount through your insurance carrier; however, we strongly advise that you first check with your local auto insurance agent.
I recently obtained a traffic violation. Am I eligible to complete GetDefensive.com’s Texas online defensive driving class if I have not taken an internet defensive driving course in over 1 year?
Yes, if it has been over one (1) year since you finished an internet defensive driving course, then you qualify.  Texas State Law prevents you from dismissing a second traffic citation every twelve (12) months. If you are unclear as to when you last satisfactorily completed the online defensive driving class, we urge that you call the traffic court to confirm if you qualify to complete GetDefensive.com's  defensive driving online class.
I recently got a second traffic citation this year, and I want to keep my Texas driver record clean. Do the quizzes count toward my final grade in the GetDefensive.com defensive driving internet program?
There is a short quiz following each chapter in GetDefensive.com’s defensive driving internet course.  The quizzes are essential and help in preparing you for the defensive driving final exam, but they will not count against your final grade in the online defensive driving class.
The last defensive driving program that I attended was in the traditional classroom setting. Does my local court approve the GetDefensive.com defensive driving internet class?
The GetDefensive.com defensive driving program is certified by the State of Texas, and can be completed instead of the traditional defensive driving program in a classroom setting.  You do not have to set aside time to attend and sit through any long instruction in a traditional classroom setting. We also offer Texas Drug and Alcohol Awareness Programs.
