The cost may vary by format for GetDefensive.com’s Texas internet defensive driving classes. The price may be slightly more if you select the defensive driving DVD or the defensive driving streaming video. For the internet defensive driving class, the cost is the lowest possible price under State law, and this includes the mailing of the Texas completion certificate that will be mailed.
How does this course work after I enroll in GetDefensive.com’s defensive driving online class?
GetDefensive.com offers two (2) types of online defensive driving courses - one is for ticket dismissal and the other is for auto insurance premium reduction. You may take GetDefensive.com’s online defensive driving course on any computer with online access. You are permitted to start and stop as often as you'd like, and then pick up from wherever you left off. The internet defensive driving class is divided into several chapters, and at the end of each chapter you will be required to complete a brief, multiple-choice quiz which will assist you in preparing for the final exam. When you successfully finish the final exam, GetDefensive.com will issue to you a completion certificate which will be mailed to you via the mailing method that you select at registration.
Am I eligible for any auto insurance premium reduction if I take GetDefensive.com’s defensive driving online class?
Although we do recommend that you contact your local auto insurance agent before taking the GetDefensive.com defensive driving internet program. It is important to know that many auto insurance carriers offer reductions of up to 10% to policyholders who pass the GetDefensive.com online defensive driving course. Also, customers who satisfactorily complete our online defensive driving course for ticket dismissal get two (2) copies of his or her completion certificate -- one to present to the court and one to submit to his or her auto insurance agent.
Am I allowed to take the GetDefensive.com defensive driving internet course on my laptop computer while I’m traveling, and then finish up the GetDefensive.com defensive driving online course from a different computer?
Of course! GetDefensive.com’s internet defensive driving online class may be finished from any computer with internet access. You may work from multiple computers if you need to, but you will need to be certain that each computer has the flash and browser features that are needed. GetDefensive.com will run a quick scan on any computer that you log into for the first time to be certain that it has the required software installed.
I'm unable to sit for extended periods of time, and I would like to take GetDefensive.com’s defensive driving online class at intervals. Is this possible, or am I required to complete it all at once?
You may take breaks as often as needed when you complete the GetDefensive.com defensive driving internet course. You are not required to get through the class all at once. When you do have to take a break, you can then resume where you left off. GetDefensive.com’s course is flexible, and can be worked into your hectic schedule!
I have to obtain the GetDefensive.com defensive driving internet certificate of completion soon in order to keep my Texas driver record clear. Does the court obtain it directly?
No. After you have passed GetDefensive.com’s online defensive driving course, GetDefensive.com will mail the completion certificate to the mailing address that you entered when you signed up. Please keep in mind that You must present it to the court by or before the court due date.

It is possible. There is a brief quiz following each internet defensive driving course chapter. The internet defensive driving class quizzes are meant to help in preparing you for the final exam, but they do not weigh against your final score.
