Prices may vary by format for GetDefensive.com’s Texas online defensive driving classes.  The price may be slightly higher if you choose the defensive driving DVD or the defensive driving streaming video.  For the defensive driving course, the cost is the minimum allowed price under State law, and this includes the shipping of your Texas completion certificate that will be sent via regular US mail.
Can you tell me how class works, and am I permitted to go through the GetDefensive.com Texas defensive driving internet class for either ticket dismissal or for auto insurance reduction?
Basically, there are two (2) types of internetdefensive driving courses available.  One is for ticket dismissal and the other is for auto insurance premium reduction.  You are permitted to take the internet defensive driving course on any computer with internet access, and you are free to start and stop as often as you'd prefer, and pick up from wherever you left off.  The online defensive driving program is divided into several chapters, and at the end of each chapter you will be given a short, multiple-choice quiz which will help to prepare you for the final exam. Once you satisfactorily finish the final exam, GetDefensive.com will issue you a completion certificate which will be sent to you via the mailing method you select at the time of registration.
Am I eligible for any auto insurance premium reduction if I enroll in GetDefensive.com’s defensive driving internet course?
Although we do urge that you check with your local auto insurance agent before registering for the GetDefensive.com defensive driving internet class.  It is important to know that numerous auto insurance carriers offer reductions of up to 10% to policyholders who pass the GetDefensive.com online defensive driving course.   Also, customers who satisfactorily finish our internet defensive driving class for ticket dismissal get two (2) copies of his or her completion certificate -- one to give to the court and one to submit to his or her auto insurance agent.
If my computer breaks down, am I allowed to change computers in the middle of the GetDefensive.com defensive driving internet class, and then resume where I left off?
Definitely!  You can start the GetDefensive.com defensive driving internet class from one computer, and then complete it from another computer.  You can work from multiple computers if you have to, but you will have to make sure that each computer is equipped with the flash and browser features that are needed. GetDefensive.com will run a brief scan on any computer that you log into for the first time to make certain that it has the necessary software installed.  GetDefensive.com can easily work into anyone’s schedule!
I have a new job that requires me to work long and irregular hours. Am I expected to complete the GetDefensive.com defensive driving online course all at once?
No.  You can take frequent breaks when you take GetDefensive.com’s defensive driving internet course.  You {are not required|do not have|do not need| to complete the class all at once.  You may stop whenever you need to, and then resume where you left off.  GetDefensive.com has your busy schedule in mind!
I need to advise the court that I have have passed the GetDefensive.com defensive driving online class. Is the Texas certificate of completion sent directly to my local court?
No.  After you have successfully finished the Texas online defensive driving course, GetDefensive.com will send via regular mail the certificate of completion to the shipping address that you entered when you signed up.  Please remember that you will have to take it to the court by or before the court due date.
 
I need to sign up for GetDefensive.com’s defensive driving online course, but how do I know for certain if my court approves it for online ticket dismissal?
GetDefensive.com is 100% accepted by every court in the State of Texas for internet ticket dismissal.  If you are eligible for ticket dismissal, your court will advise you as to when you need to complete a defensive driving course.  Also, if you successfully fulfill the requirements of the GetDefensive.com defensive driving internet class, you may qualify for a 10% auto insurance discount through your insurance carrier; however, we advise that you first consult with your local auto insurance agent.
I would rather that my recent traffic ticket is not added to my Texas driver record. Am I eligible to finish GetDefensive.com’s Texas online defensive driving class if I have not completed an online defensive driving course in over 1 year?
Yes, if it has been over one (1) year since you completed an internet defensive driving course, then you are eligible.  Texas State Law prohibits you from dismissing more than one (1) traffic citation every twelve (12) months. If you are uncertain as to when you last satisfactorily completed the internet defensive driving program, we strongly recommend that you consult with the traffic court to confirm if you definitely qualify to take GetDefensive.com's defensive driving internet course.
Are the quizzes graded in GetDefensive.com’s defensive driving online class, and are they included in my overall grade?
There is a brief quiz following each chapter in GetDefensive.com's defensive driving online course.  The quizzes are important and are meant to help you in preparing you for the defensive driving final examination.  However, they will not weigh against your overall score in the internet defensive driving program.
