GetDefensive.com offers two (2) types of online defensive driving courses - one is for ticket dismissal and the other is for auto insurance premium reduction.  You may finish GetDefensive.com’s internet defensive driving course on any computer with internet access.  You are allowed to start and stop as often as you'd like, and then pick up from wherever you left off.  The online defensive driving course is divided into several chapters, and at the end of each chapter you will need to take a short, multiple-choice quiz which will help in preparing you for the final exam. When you satisfactorily complete the final exam, GetDefensive.com will issue to you a certificate of completion which will be sent to you via the mailing method that you choose at registration.
If I satisfactorily get through GetDefensive.com’s defensive driving internet course, am I eligible to receive an auto insurance premium reduction?
Yes, it is likely.  Although we do advise that you consult with your auto local insurance agent before enrolling in the GetDefensive.com defensive driving internet course.  It is helpful to know that many auto insurance carriers offer discounts of up to 10% to policyholders who satisfactorily finish the GetDefensive.com defensive driving program.   Also, customers who get through our online defensive driving class for ticket dismissal get two (2) copies of his or her certificate of completion--one to submit to the court and one to give to his or her auto insurance agent.
If my computer stops working properly, am I permitted to switch computers in the middle of the GetDefensive.com defensive driving online course, and then resume where I left off?
Yes!  You can begin the GetDefensive.com defensive driving internet class from one computer, and then finish it from a different computer.  You can work from multiple computers if you need to, but you will need to be certain that each computer is equipped with the flash and browser features that are needed. GetDefensive.com will run a brief scan on any computer that you log into for the first time to be sure that it has the applicable software installed.  GetDefensive.com can easily work into anyone’s schedule!
I really sit a lot with my work, and may find it hard to sit through a long defensive driving program when I get home in the evening. Do I need to take the GetDefensive.com Texas defensive driving online course all at once, or can I take frequent breaks?
You may start and stop as often as necessary when you complete the GetDefensive.com defensive driving internet class.  You are not required to complete the course all at one time.  When you do want to take a break, you can then resume where you left off.  GetDefensive.com’s course is flexible, and can be worked into your busy schedule!

I recently picked up a traffic violation. Am I eligible to take GetDefensive.com’s Texas online defensive driving course if I have not finished an online defensive driving program in over 1 year?
Yes, if it has been over one (1) year since you finished an internet defensive driving course, then you are eligible.  Texas State Law prevents you from removing more than one (1) traffic citation every twelve (12) months. If you are unsure as to when you last satisfactorily finished the internet defensive driving class, we urge that you call the traffic court to find out if you are eligible to complete GetDefensive.com's  defensive driving internet class.
Am I penalized if I incorrectly answer several of the quiz questions in GetDefensive.com’s defensive driving internet class?
No.  There is a short quiz following each internet defensive driving class chapter.  The internet defensive driving class quizzes are important and they are designed to assist in preparing you for the final exam.  However, they will not weigh against your overall course grade.
I need to take the GetDefensive.com defensive driving online class to keep a traffic ticket off of my Texas driver record, but how do I know if my local court approves it?
