Prices may vary by format for GetDefensive.com’s Texas online defensive driving courses.  The price may be slightly higher if you choose the defensive driving DVD or the defensive driving streaming video.  For the defensive driving class, the cost is the lowest possible cost under State law, and this includes the mailing of your Texas completion certificate that will be mailed.
How does this class work after I enroll in GetDefensive.com’s defensive driving internet program?
GetDefensive.com offers two (2) types of internet defensive driving classes - one is for ticket dismissal and the other is for auto insurance premium reduction.  You may take GetDefensive.com’s online defensive driving program on any computer with internet access.  You are permitted to start and stop as frequently as you'd like, and then resume from wherever you left off.  The online defensive driving class is divided into several chapters, and at the end of each chapter you will have to take a brief, multiple-choice quiz which will help you in preparing for the final exam. When you pass the final exam, GetDefensive.com will give to you a completion certificate which will be mailed to you via the mailing method that you select at registration.
How can I confirm if I can get an auto insurance premium reduction if I take GetDefensive.com’s defensive driving online program?
Although we do recommend that you consult with your local auto insurance agent before taking the GetDefensive.com internet defensive driving course.  It is helpful to know that many auto insurance carriers offer reductions of up to 10% to policyholders who satisfactorily complete the GetDefensive.com internet defensive driving course.   Also, customers who do get through our internet defensive driving class for ticket dismissal get two (2) copies of his or her certificate of completion--one to give to the court and one to give to his or her auto insurance agent.
Am I allowed to begin the GetDefensive.com defensive driving internet course on my laptop computer while I’m traveling, and then complete the GetDefensive.com defensive driving online class from a different computer?
Of course!  GetDefensive.com’s online defensive driving internet course can be completed from any computer with online access.  You may work from multiple computers if you have to, but you will have to be certain that each computer has the flash and browser features that are needed. GetDefensive.com will run a quick scan on any computer that you log into for the first time to be certain that it has the necessary software installed.
I’m a busy college student and may have to take frequent breaks if I finish GetDefensive.com’s defensive driving online program. Is this likely, or do I need to finish it all at one time?
You can take frequent breaks when you complete the GetDefensive.com defensive driving online course.  You do not have to take the course all at once, and you may start and stop whenever you need to.  You can then resume where you left off.  GetDefensive.com has your busy schedule in mind!
Is the Texas completion certificate sent directly to me after I have passed the GetDefensive.com online defensive driving course?
When you successfully complete the GetDefensive.com Texas online defensive driving class, the completion certificate will be sent via regular mail to the mailing address that you entered when you signed up.  Please remember, however, that you will have to take it to the court by or before the court due date.


I am worried that I now have two (2) traffic citations this year. If I sign up for the GetDefensive.com Texas defensive driving internet class, how can I find out for sure whether it is court approved?
GetDefensive.com is 100% approved by every court in the State of Texas for internet ticket dismissal.  If your traffic citation qualifies for dismissal, your court will notify you as to when you have to complete a defensive driving program.  You may also qualify for a 10% auto insurance discount through your insurance carrier if you successfully finish the internet defensive driving program at GetDefensive.com; however, we urge that you first call your local auto insurance agent.
I recently picked up a traffic violation. Am I eligible to take GetDefensive.com’s Texas online defensive driving course if I have not finished an internet defensive driving program in over 1 year?
Yes, if it has been over one (1) year since you took an online defensive driving course, then you are eligible.  Texas State Law restricts you from removing more than one (1) traffic citation every twelve (12) months. If you are unsure as to when you last satisfactorily completed the internet defensive driving course, we recommend that you call the traffic court to learn if you qualify to take GetDefensive.com's  defensive driving internet program.
Do the quizzes count against my total grade in GetDefensive.com’s defensive driving internet course?
No.  There is a brief quiz after each chapter in GetDefensive.com’s defensive driving online class.  The quizzes do not weigh against your final class score.  They are designed to help in preparing you for the final exam.
I’d rather complete GetDefensive.com’s defensive driving online course instead of sitting through a long defensive driving course in a traditional classroom setting. How do I know if the local court approves the Texas defensive driving internet class?
