GetDefensive.com offers Texas internet defensive driving classes and online auto insurance reduction courses, and the price may vary by format.   If you choose the defensive driving DVD or the defensive driving streaming video, the cost may be slightly higher.   For the online defensive driving class, the price is the lowest possible under State law, and this includes the mailing of the Texas completion certificate that will be mailed.

I finished a traditional defensive driving classroom program a few years ago, and I am not as familiar with the internet defensive driving courses. How does the GetDefensive.com defensive driving online class work?
Basically, there are two (2) types of internet defensive driving courses that are available.  One is for ticket dismissal and the other is for auto insurance premium reduction.  You may sign up for the online defensive driving class on any computer with online access, and you are free to start and stop as often as you'd prefer, and pick up from wherever you left off.  The online defensive driving program is divided into several chapters, and at the end of each chapter you will need to complete a brief, multiple-choice quiz which will assist you in preparing for the final exam. Once you pass the final exam, GetDefensive.com will give to you a certificate of completion which will be mailed to you via the mailing method that you select at the time of registration.
I really would prefer to receive an auto insurance premium reduction. Is this possible when I sign up for the GetDefensive.com Texas defensive driving online course?
Although we do urge that you call your local auto insurance agent before enrolling in the GetDefensive.com Texas defensive driving internet program.  It is helpful to know that many auto insurance carriers offer discounts of up to 10% to policyholders who successfully finish the GetDefensive.com online defensive driving class.   Also, customers who do pass our internet defensive driving course for ticket dismissal get two (2) copies of his or her completion certificate -- one to submit to the court and one to give to his or her auto insurance agent.
I have a busy schedule, and may have to finish the GetDefensive.com Texas defensive driving internet class from two different computers. Is this permitted?
Yes!  You can take the GetDefensive.com defensive driving online class from multiple computers if you want to, but you will need to becertain that each computer has the flash and browser features that are necessary. GetDefensive.com will run a quick scan on any computer that you log into for the initial time to be certain that it has the required software installed.
I have a job that requires me to work different hours every day of the week. Do I have to finish the GetDefensive.com defensive driving internet course all at one time?
No.  You may take frequent breaks when you finish GetDefensive.com’s defensive driving online class.  You are not required to finish the program all at once.  You are allowed to stop whenever you have to, and then resume where you left off.  GetDefensive.com has your erratic schedule in mind!
Is it my responsibility to send the Texas completion certificate to my court when I successfully finish the GetDefensive.com defensive driving internet course?
Yes.  After you successfully complete GetDefensive.com's Texas online defensive driving class, the certificate of completion will be mailed to the mailing address that you provided at registration.  Please remember that you must take it to the court by or before the court due date.

GetDefensive.com is 100% accepted by every court in the State of Texas for internet ticket dismissal.  If you qualify for ticket dismissal, your court will notify you as to when you must finish a defensive driving program.  Also, if you finish the GetDefensive.com defensive driving internet class, you may qualify for a 10% auto insurance discount through your insurance carrier; however, we strongly suggest that you first contact your local auto insurance agent.
I just got a second traffic citation this year, and I’d rather that my Texas driver record remain clear. What are the eligibility requirements for going through the GetDefensive.com defensive driving online program?
State Law in Texas restricts you from dismissing more than one (1) traffic ticket every twelve (12) months.
