GetDefensive.com offers Texas internet defensive driving courses, and the price may vary by format.   If you choose the defensive driving DVD or the defensive driving streaming video, the cost may be slightly more.   For the online defensive driving course, the cost is the lowest possible under State law, and this includes the mailing of the Texas completion certificate that will be mailed.

There are two (2) types of internet defensive driving courses that are available - one is for ticket dismissal and the other is for auto insurance premium reduction.  You may start the online defensive driving class on any computer with online access, and you are allowed to start and stop as often as you'd prefer, and resume from wherever you left off.  The internet defensive driving program is divided into several chapters, and at the end of each chapter you will have to complete a short, multiple-choice quiz which will assist you in preparing for the final exam. Once you pass the final exam, GetDefensive.com will give to you a certificate of completion which will be sent to you via the mailing method that you pick at the time of registration.

Although we do advise that you consult with your local auto insurance agent before registering for the GetDefensive.com online defensive driving program.  We can tell you that many auto insurance carriers offer reductions of up to 10% to policyholders who favorably complete the GetDefensive.com online defensive driving class.   Also, customers who do complete our internet defensive driving class for ticket dismissal get two (2) copies of his or her completion certificate--one to give to the court and one to submit to his or her auto insurance agent.

No, you may take the GetDefensive.com internet defensive driving course from any computer with internet access.  You are permitted to use multiple computers if you need to, but you will need to make sure that each computer has the flash and browser features that are needed. GetDefensive.com will run a brief scan on any computer that you log into for the first time to be certain that it has the necessary software installed.  

Yes, you may take frequent breaks as needed when you take GetDefensive.com’s defensive driving online course.  You do not need to take the program all at once.  When you do want to take a break, you can then resume where you left off.  GetDefensive.com’s program is flexible, and it may be worked into any busy schedule!

When you successfully complete the Texas online defensive driving course, GetDefensive.com will mail the certificate of completion to the mailing address that you provided when you registered to take the course.  Keep in mind, however, that you will have to take it to the court by or before the court due date.

For online ticket dismissal, GetDefensive.com is 100% accepted by every court in the State of Texas.  If your traffic ticket qualifies for dismissal, your court will tell you as to when you have to finish a defensive driving program.  You may also be eligible for a 10% auto insurance discount through your insurance carrier if you successfully finish the internet defensive driving class at GetDefensive.com; however, we strongly urge that you first consult with your local insurance agent.

State Law in Texas prevents you from dismissing more than one (1) traffic citation every twelve (12) months. If you are not sure as to when you last took the internet defensive driving program, we strongly recommend that you contact the traffic court to find out if you currently are eligible to complete GetDefensive.com's  defensive driving online program.

There is a brief quiz after each online defensive driving course chapter.  Each quiz is chosen in order to help in preparing you for the final exam.  The quizzes do not count against your overall grade.
